JUSTIN BOUDREAU

Well I found photography a bit later than most, but that’s okay.

I didn’t grow up with a camera in my hand, in fact it was my iPhone that first got me to take photos regularly.

I only started using my “real” camera when I was in photography school.

But I try to shoot as much as I can and improve every time I go out.

As you can see I shoot street, it’s where I’m most comfortable, being out there capturing life is what makes me happy.

I’ve not always found it easy to interact with people, it’s something I still struggle with.

But cameras are special, they act as barrier, they give permission.

There isn’t a place that I feel more like myself than walking down a street with my camera in hand.

Getting shots is always nice but just being out there in its unpredictability, watching life is as good as it gets.

As far as the conceptual work that I’ve been doing, well that’s something completely different.

My conceptual photography is about producing a series of images where I have complete control in the narrative.
